The Sunshine Coast is in the spotlight with a visit from Deputy Prime Minister Barnaby Joyce this Thursday as a special guest of Member for Maroochydore Fiona Simpson MP.

"Barnaby is a champion of small business and infrastructure. As a small businessman himself before going into Federal Parliament, he understands who the job creators are in this nation,” Ms Simpson said.

"The Sunshine Coast has one of the highest number of small business people in Australia. We are also an area that is fighting to make sure the right infrastructure is built to sustain local jobs.

"I'm delighted to have Barnaby here on the Sunshine Coast, listening to locals and being part of building a better Queensland."
