Media personality and Myer fashion ambassador Tamara Wrigley is holding a Fashion Fire Appeal on the Sunshine Coast to raise money for the Bush Fire Appeal.

Local residents can donate unwanted high-quality clothing to the warehouse at 6 Kelley Court, Maroochydore, between the hours of 9am and 4pm from Monday, January 20 to Friday, January 24, and the warehouse will become a pop-up market shop with the clothes for sale on Saturday and Sunday, 1&2 Feb.

"Clean out your closets for a good cause," says fashionista Tamara. "As we Australian stand and watch our country burn, some of us are left wondering what we can do to help. All charity organisations are seeking cash donations at present so we thought we would do our part to raise money to help rebuild our land.

"Some people don't have cash to donate, but are happy to donate clothes, and I'm asking the good community of the Sunshine Coast to clean out their closets and donate their clothes to our Fashion Fire Appeal.

"We only want good quality clothes and are appealing to everyone donating them to stick to the designated drop off times, and not dump anything outside the premises at other times, as they won't be saleable.

"So, get de-cluttering, clean out those closets and donate your pre-loved clothes, then come a snag a bargain at our Fashion Fire Appeal Market weekend.

"All sales will be donated to the CFA Vic and Wildlife Victoria Bush Fire Appeal."

At least 27 people have died in the bush fires, which have destroyed more than 1000 homes, 10.3 million hectares of land and billions of animals, since September.

Tamara joins some of the world's biggest stars who have donated funds to the Bush Fire Appeal, including Chris Hemsworth, Nicole Kidman, Elton John, Kylie Minogue, Shane Warne, Pink and the Kardashians, along with mining magnate Andrew Forrest, comedienne Celeste Barber and major banks, businesses and corporations.
