Time is running out to nominate a local legend

Published:

If you know a person, community group or organisation making a difference to the Sunshine Coast community, give them the recognition they deserve by nominating them for a 2020 Sunshine Coast Australia Day Award.

Nominations are closing on Monday, November 18 so head to council’s website today and nominate a deserving local - we know they are out there, but we need your help to find them.

You don’t have to be famous to be nominated, we’re looking for the unsung heroes.

The person may be young or old, have a commitment to serving others, inspire pride in their community or have achieved something special in their field.

If you know a person, community group or organisation worthy of an award, nominate them now in one of the following categories:
·         Citizen of the Year, sponsored by 7 News Sunshine Coast
·         Senior Citizen of the Year, sponsored by Maroochy RSL
·         Young Citizen of the Year, sponsored by MixFM
·         Community – Group or Organisation, sponsored by Sunshine Coast Daily
·         Environment, sponsored by Living Smart Sunshine Coast
·         Creative, sponsored by TAFE Queensland
·         Sport and Recreation, sponsored by Sunshine Coast Sports Federation.

Sunshine Coast Australia Day Award 2020 recipients will be announced at a special ceremony to be held on Friday, January 24, 2020.
