Sunshine Coast weekends are set to become even more cooler with the opening of a tropical inspired pop up bar at the Big Pineapple from midday to sunset this Saturday and Sunday.
Founder and owner of the locally produced Diablo Co alcoholic ginger beer Dimitris (Dimi) Limnatitis said the venue has gained a strong following since it opened 6 months ago and he was confident that the upgrade would take the venue to a new level.
“We’ve now got a fantastic Bali hut and lots more room for people to come and relax over the weekend. People just love the venue because it’s outdoors and there’s plenty of shade under the trees and we have a nice afternoon breeze as well as a cool drink to help keep everyone comfortable,” he said.
From humble beginnings producing Diablo ginger beer in a back shed just a few years ago, Diablo Co now extends to a complete range of delicious spirits and liquors which are all produced locally at the Big Pineapple.
“We produce and sell all our products onsite including the Amazonas Passionfruit Liqueur, Shallock Grapefruit Liqueur, Sapere Lychee Liqueur, Big Pineapple Liqueur, Melogion Grape Liqueur, Hedone Banana Liqueur, Pegasus Espresso Martini Liqueur, Eros Original Vodka, Eros Grape Flavoured Vodka, Eros Chilli Infused Vodka, Black Cockatoo White Rum, Black Cockatoo Coconut Flavoured Rum and Black Cockatoo Chilli Spiced Rum.
“Our full range will feature in our weekly cocktail menu and I know our clients really look forward to sampling what’s on offer each weekend. We’ve always been proud of the way we do things differently in our business, whether it be our entertainment venues, music events, the food we serve or the drinks we produce. I think we’ve really tapped into what the market is looking for, and we guarantee our customers that every purchase they make is produced right here on the Sunshine Coast.
“This weekend we’ll be introducing a new cocktail menu and live music, there’s also delicious Asian inspired cuisine from a locally sourced food truck operator. Best of all entry is free and there’s plenty of parking so we’re expecting a really good turn out each weekend,” Dimi said.
The Diablo Co pop up bar opens every Saturday and Sunday from 12pm until sunset.
