Crime prevention Officers and the unstoppable VIP's joined forces at the Plantation Retirement Resort to ‘Turn the Screws on Crime’.

With fuel prices rising, the district has had an increase in stolen number plates which has led to some fuel thefts.

During our visit to the retirement resort, 45 vehicles were attended to, where their screws were exchanged on their number plates to the one-way screws. A great effort by all involved in the day!

The screws are manufactured in Australia and have been designed to prevent number plates being removed from vehicles.

There will be more of these initiatives throughout the district in the coming weeks, make sure you subscribe to the Sunshine Coast myPolice blogs to get updated information.
