The ever popular Twilight markets are back for 2 nights during the September school holidays for 2 Friday nights, 23 and 30 September. Starting from 5pm till 9pm the Esplanade, Bulcock Beach comes to life. Popular amongst stallholders and very well supported by both locals and visitors alike, it is a great opportunity to showcase the beautiful Pummicestone Passage, Bulcock Beach and the best of Caloundra waterfront.
Featuring handmade crafts, fashion, fantastic food, live music and more, this family-friendly event is a must-do for locals and visitors alike. The ambiance and atmosphere of the setting sun on Bulcock Beach Esplanade is definitely a highlight for market visitors. The wide range of food stalls are always well received and the markets will see a wide choice of street food fare featuring Hungarian and Vietnamese along with the always popular calamari, steak and pizza offerings to name a few.
The Twilight Markets are an opportunity to showcase local artisans and entertainment is not in short supply. The Antics, playing on Friday 23 September are an all-male band who play the absolute classics. Their recent performances have incited spontaneous dancing in the street and are not to be missed.
The joy of listening to live music whilst strolling around the colourful stalls at the Twilight Markets depicts the quintessential Sunshine Coast lifestyle - time to enjoy our glorious natural environment, to let go of life’s complexities and simply go with the flow.
“In Caloundra, local and visiting families will be able to enjoy tasty treats and shop for handcrafted goods, unique homewares and jewellery, on the Bulcock Beach foreshore. They will have the opportunity to unwind, relax and enjoy a family friendly Friday evening on the waterfront. Come down and watch the sun set and marvel at the views” commented Carley Waters, the Event Manager at the Caloundra Chamber of Commerce.
