Music fans of all ages can now enjoy headline acts Hoodoo Gurus, You Am I and Sheppard at the Under the Southern Stars summer festival at council’s Sunshine Coast Stadium on Sunday, January 20, 2019.

The cream of the Aussie rock industry - The Superjesus, British India, The Getaway Plan and Scott Darlow - will round out the first class line-up.

Under the Southern Stars and One World Entertainment director Andrew McManus said the two Queensland shows scheduled for January 2019 would now be all-ages events and the family and junior ticket prices were in keeping with creating a family-friendly festival event.
“We know there are a myriad of younger fans of Sheppard that would love to attend Under the Southern Stars and see their favourite band play on the Sunshine Coast in January 2019,” he said.

“We are thrilled we can welcome some of these younger fans to the Queensland shows so they can be a part of our summer festival series, which is heading to the Sunshine Coast for the very first time in 2019.

“We have a solid line-up of Australian rock royalty and this year’s Under the Southern Stars festival series will be the summer festival event to kick-start 2019.”

Sheppard are equally thrilled to be able to play to some of their younger fans in this festival environment alongside some of the best Australian musicians of our time.

Sheppard said they are thrilled to hear the Queensland shows for Under the Southern Stars will be all ages.

“We love playing to music fans across all age groups and this is a special opportunity for some of our younger fans to see us on stage with some great Australian bands,” Sheppard said.

“Can’t wait to see you all in January on the Sunshine Coast.”

Head to ticketmaster to check out the newly released family and junior ticket prices. All tickets purchased to Under the Southern Stars via ticketmaster before December 31, 2018 will go into the draw to win an electric guitar signed by artists appearing on the 2019 line-up.
