The below release has been edited to remove name and photo A Forty-three-year-old Caloundra woman has been missing since December 24 with police and family concerned for her safety and wellbeing due to a medical condition. It is believed she left her Caloundra home on Christmas eve with investigations indicating she may have travelled to Gympie, possibly hitch hiking and possibly staying in low budget motels or more itinerant accommodation. She contacted family this afternoon (December 31) suggesting she was now in the southside of Gympie, using a pay phone to call. Anyone who has seen her or has any information in relation to her whereabouts is asked to contact police. She is described as Caucasian, approximately 165cms tall with a solid build and long blonde hair.
