Police have located safe and well the 12-year-old girl missing from Maleny since December 30.

Police are appealing for public assistance to locate a 12-year-girl reported missing from Maleny.

The girl (pictured) was last seen at a residence on Maleny Kenilworth Road around 8pm on December 30.

It is believed she may currently be staying in the Caboolture area.

Police hold concerns for her welfare due to her age.

The girl is described as Caucasian, around 150cm tall with a fair complexion, blonde hair and brown eyes.

She was last seen wearing a black t-shirt and black track pants.

Police are appealing for anyone who may have ssen the girl or know her current whereabouts to come forward.
