A man has been charged following a traffic crash that occurred at Noosa Heads on June 17.

Around 2am, a 16-year-old was struck by a vehicle on David Lowe Way and it will be alleged that the drive of the vehicle failed to stop.

A 47-year-old Peregian Springs man has been charged with one count of failure to remain at the scene of a crash and assist injured persons and is due to appear in the Noosa Magistrates Court on July 25.

Investigations are continuing to appeal for any witnesses that may have been in the area at the time to contact them.
