Sunshine Coast Detectives will seek the extradition of a woman from New South Wales today after she allegedly took two children from an address in Beerwah on November 21.

Police will allege the two adult occupants of the house- a 31-year-old man and a 35-year-old woman- were threatened by the group before the woman was struck on the head with a metal pole, sustaining a laceration to her head that required hospital treatment.

Two children- a three-year-old girl and her one-year-old brother were removed from the house, with the group then leaving with the children.

The woman and two children were located safe and well in Moree yesterday, and detectives will travel to New South Wales to seek the woman's extradition.

Investigations are continuing.
