Walk-in customer service desk and holiday parks to close

Council’s walk-in customer service desks at the Tewantin administration building have closed, and the closure of Council-owned holiday parks will follow, from midday today (March 26).

The closures are in line with the Federal Government’s latest efforts to help slow the spread of COVID-19 Coronavirus.

Residents and ratepayers can still contact Council’s customer service team by phone on (07) 5329 6500 and via email – mail@noosa.qld.gov.au

Noosa North Shore Beach Campground and Boreen Point Campground will close at midday today (Thursday).

Noosa River Holiday Park will remain open for now, but only for essential travel, and only to travellers in self-contained vehicles.

Essential travel includes compassionate grounds, travel required in order to return home, and essential accommodation while stopping at one location during a current road trip.

Other Council facilities already closed, include:

  • Noosa Aquatic Centre (the NAC).
  • Noosa Leisure Centre
  • Butter Factory Cooroy
  • Noosa Regional Gallery
  • The J
  • Noosa Library Service (Cooroy, Noosaville and Mobile Libraries)
  • Peregian Digital Hub

Noosa Library Service’s lending pick-up service has also had to cease. Library members can make use of e-Lending services, including eBooks, eMagazines, eAudiobooks and online children’s services such as Story Box Library at www.libraries.noosa.qld.gov.au 

Council’s COVID-19 response is guided by Queensland Health and the Federal Government. Council provides daily updates with LDMG Chair Tony Wellington at 5.30pm on Council’s Facebook page and website.
