What the 2020 SSN fixture has in store for Lightning ⚡

Published:

Sunshine Coast Lightning’s full fixture for the 2020 Suncorp Super Netball (SSN) season has been released.

The Club is set for a Grand Final rematch to launch the season, taking on NSW Swifts at Sydney’s Ken Rosewell Arena on Sunday 3 May.

Sunshine Coast fans won’t have to wait too long to see netball live at USC Stadium, with Lightning’s first home game to take place in Round Three against West Coast Fever on Saturday 16 May.

Nine of Lightning’s games will be broadcast live on Channel Nine across the year, with five streaming on Telstra TV, in what is a strong result for the Club and fans alike.

The SSN season is again broken into 14 rounds, with Round Eight a split round giving all teams one week’s reprieve mid-season.

Lightning will play host in both SSN themed rounds, playing Magpies Netball in Round Five’s Indigenous Round and the Queensland Firebirds in Round Nine’s Confident Girls Round.

The Round Nine Queensland derby is Lightning’s only evening game played at home, with two other evening games to take place in Round Six against Adelaide Thunderbirds and Round 10 against West Coast Fever.
