It's Raining, it must be Easter?

Another Easter, and yet more rain... Bit like the inevitable Petrol prices rise at Easter, speaking of which, does anyone else despise the lame excuses they use to raise their prices on the day before any public holidays? I am sure the chance of rain on Easter, regardless of whether it is in March or April is much higher than the average should be? Anyhow, back on track..

BOM (love www.bom.gov.au) reckons that it will only be showers & maybe a storm this arvo, but we should be "Mostly fine" for the rest of the Easter Break. Let's all cross fingers that it is true. An awful lot of business and services here on the Sunshine Coast have had a shocking few months and really need the boost in business. Not to mention that we have all our wonderful tourists heading our way in the next few hours for an Easter Break here in our beautiful backyard and really don't want it ruined by rain. Though esteemed visitors,
please remember if BOM do have it wrong, it is not the receptionist in your hotels fault, or the waiter at your restaurant etc., they are not real happy about it either... There are heaps of events onsite for the Easter Break, so check them out, not all will be affected by rain, so maybe instead of worrying about rain ruining your holiday, how about trying something different, there are still heaps of fun things to do that have nothing to do with the rain :)

For all you locals who are working, we hope your business is good, and it is worthwhile missing out on a bit of a break. The kids are off school again, so make sure you check out the council events, particularly the libraries, as they have heaps of Easter School Holiday Fun for kids and most are that lovely word we all like to hear, FREE!
