How Long is a piece of String?

In this job because we work online all day every day, we see an awful lot of websites. I know this will sound awful, but we are always having a bit of a competition in the office as to who has found the most 'dingo' (as in ugly) website for the day. Not that we mean to disparage Dingo's of course, it has just become our 'term' for really awful, ugly websites, and mate, there are a lot of them out there.

Leone in particular will get really frustrated
when she is upgrading a business onsite and they discuss what can be used from their own website to put on their Premium Listing with us, their text, graphics, logo etc., and the website in question is basically useless, but for some reason the client has been convinced by their web person that it is great? It wouldn't matter if the web bloke nicked off backpacking in Europe after a few years because you didn't pay much for it anyhow.

BUT, to pay thousands for a site that does not suit your business, you can't add pages too (or have to pay a fortune to a developer to do it for you), or my favourite, the CMS (Content Management System - in normal English - website that you can add pages to, make changes etc.) that is supposed to be user friendly but in fact is either built on free or American software that you need an OP Score of 4 or less to use? Nice... Read the rest of this editorial...
