blah blah blah

I want to be a politician when I grow up LOL! I can talk, give me a few drinks and I can talk underwater. Obviously they are on a good gig here, if they just blah blah blah we get bored & turn off, when they are not talking, they are paying other 'experts' to discuss an issue, so they can talk about it as well... Petrol is a good one, we all hear about OPEC, Singapore price, etc. Does the average person actually understand what the hell they are talking about? It seems to me that there are a few people who have a monopoly on an essential commodity, they can do what they like, make massive profits, and the Government can't do squat about it, so why all the study & waste of time in Parliament discussing it? Unless you are discussing 'real' ways of alternative sources, stop wasting our time & money!

Another is the obesity thing, how trendy is that in the media? Millions upon millions are being spent on advertising, programmes and so called 'experts'? Hello? Kids can't run around outside anymore as they have been terrified to death of stranger danger, so why not put those millions into paying the insurance (which is the biggest cost) on all junior sports fields and schools so that kids can actually afford to play sport in a safe environment? How simple & healthy is that?

Radical idea, let's change the law! Every single politician who has a say over the spending of public money actually be legally required to use those services? All of them, State Schools, Public Hospitals, Public Transport, Local Amenitites... When standing for election they 'care' about us, and only want the job to be of 'service to the public'? Bet any 'study' would be over quick smart, and conducted for peanuts if it was their sick kid sitting in a public hospital for hours waiting to be treated (not that I wish that on anyone) or god forbid they had to drive themselves & pay for their own petrol? The whole argument of "but we need these perks etc to compensate for what we would earn in the private sector" doesn't cut it. If you are that good, and can earn that much, then do it! Don't be a public servant. You want to serve the public, then live like the average punter does! Send (email) us in what you would like to see your 'favourite' pollie doing? Could be fun LOL!
